For the past 48 years, the LECPTA has hosted the annual Lakewood Home Tour weekend. This beloved, community-wide event features a tour of treasured Lakewood homes. This year's home tour will take place the weekend of November 8th-9th.


About Lakewood Home Tour
The Lakewood Home Tour raises funds for the Lakewood neighborhood feeder schools in DISD:
The home tour ensures the LECPTA can continue our support for our East Dallas public schools.
This year’s tour will take place Saturday, November 8th and Sundya, November 9th.

Q: What kind of ticket should I buy?
A:

Daytime Weekend Pass - This ticket will give you access to tour homes during the daytime home tour hours for both Saturday and Sunday.

Candlelight Tour - This ticket will give you access to attend the tour homes during the evening candlelight tour. The candlelight evening is an elevated tour experience including white wine, light bites, and art. Consider this an art gala date night!

Candlelight VIP Bus Tour - This ticket will give you a spot on the VIP bus tour during the up-scale evening tour. The candlelight evening is an elevated tour experience starting off with a kickoff reception at Comerica Bank, the Home Tour presenting sponsor, followed by white wine, light bites, and art. Consider this an art gala date night! The VIP tour has a limited number of tickets available.
Q: Is this a rain or shine event?
A: Yes! We will have tents outside the home in the event of rain. There will be no refunds or exchanges for home tour tickets.
Q: Do I need to tour the homes in a specific order?
A: No! View our map below and pick any home as your starting point.
You can visit the six homes in any order throughout the entire two days.
Q: Must I wear booties inside the homes?
A: Yes, thank you for helping us respect the space of our homeowners. We will require that everyone (children included) must wear the provided booties or take off their shoes and wear socks inside the homes.
Q: Is this a child friendly event?
A: Out of an abundance of caution and respect for our homeowners, we ask that you do not bring young children or toddlers into the homes. If you choose to bring older children through the homes with you, they will need to purchase a ticket and be closely monitored. Infants must be carried, as no strollers will be permitted in the homes.
Q: Is the Lakewood Home Tour pet-friendly?
A: No, please do not bring pets.
Q: Is photography allowed inside the homes?
A: Out of respect of our home owners, photography is not allowed.
Q: If I get tired, can I sit on furniture in the houses?
A: No, please respect that each home is the pride and joy of the homeowner. They are opening their doors for all of us to take a peek inside. We also ask that you please refrain from touching furniture, walls, art or any other objects inside the homes. Tour them as you would a museum.
Q: Are food and drink allowed on the tour?
A: There is no food or drink allowed anywhere on the tour.
Q: How long does it take to tour each house?
A: It takes about 20 minute to tour each home.
Q: Do I have to tour all of the houses in one day?
A: No. You are welcome to visit homes on both days once you have purchased a ticket. However, only a candlelight specific ticket allows you to visit during the Candlelight tour. Candlelight ticketholders can visit during any time.
Q: What is Candlelight Tour and the VIP Experience?
A: The Candlelight Tour & VIP Candlelight Tour takes place on Saturday, November 9th from 7:00PM – 9:30p.m.
If you decide to do the VIP Experience, you have access to a tour bus that will take you around to all of the homes. There are a limited number of VIP candlelight tickets available.
